At the 2016 Serious Play Conference in North Carolina, Schell Games was recognized by being awarded Silver for its work on Save the Park. During the conference, CEO Jesse Schell was a keynote speaker with his address, "Virtual Reality and the Future of Education."

Only 30 pieces of work were recognized at the conference.
