HistoryMaker VR is a virtual reality content creation tool where learners can embody and perform as famous U.S. figures. Students can create the scene, pick their props, upload and recite their script, and export their performance to share with classmates and teachers. The tool is free for educators, who are interested in using VR in their classrooms.

HistoryMaker VR is the perfect complement for social studies, history, and civics classes in both middle and high school. This standards-aligned experience can be seamlessly integrated into classrooms. Lesson plans, sample activities, and implementation instructions are available for download.
The prototype for this tool was funded in part by a Phase I grant awarded by the Department of Education IES Small Business Innovation Research program. It also received additional funding from the Department of Education in a Phase II grant.
