New VR Puzzler Turns Players into Secret Agents as They Attempt to Problem Solve Their Way Out of Risky Situations and Get Out Alive

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (December 13, 2016) — Attention PlayStation®VR fans! If you’re ready for a spy game challenge of a lifetime, this virtual reality experience is for you. Critically-acclaimed game developer Schell Games today announces that its virtual reality (VR) secret agent puzzler I Expect You To Die has landed onto PlayStation®VR, making the game now available on multi-VR platforms, just in time for holiday fun.

I Expect You To Die is a virtual reality puzzle game where players take on the role of an elite secret agent attempting to survive intense, harrowing 3D situations in immersive and dangerous locales by overcoming missions using problem solving skills and wits. It’s a race to thwart the evil Dr. Zor without succumbing to surprising traps and nasty tricks that may cause an untimely demise. In the game, agents face four unique, challenging levels, including being confined inside their evil nemesis Dr. Zor’s car, trapped high on a window washing platform, deep underwater in a submarine and inside a booby-trapped hunting lodge – each delivering a treacherous and immersive experience, along with plenty of humor and the occasional cigar. A special credits sequence at the beginning of the game readies players for upcoming missions and the dangers that lie ahead. Will you survive? Perhaps. But, we DO expect you to DIE.

Adding to the experience is esteemed actor Anthony Daniels, known for playing C-3PO in the Star Wars™ films, among many other roles, who lends his voice talents throughout the game. Plus, the game’s submarine level features the acting skills of Naomi Kyle, actor, producer, and current on-air host for IGN Entertainment.

I Expect You To Die is the ultimate VR experience for secret agent fans. Once the headset is on, it’s like you were dropped into a classic spy novel and an escape-the-room style game all-in-one,” explains Jesse Schell, CEO, Schell Games. “We had so much fun building this game. We’re positive PlayStation®VR gamers will have a great time trying to outwit the evil Dr. Zor and unscramble all the dangerous ploys and hidden tricks.”

Since its debut as a demo on Oculus Rift developer kits in 2015, I Expect You To Die has been highly anticipated by VR, spy and video game fans and media, and already has been honored with multiple industry awards for best gameplay, best VR experience, and best game design.

Play on the PlayStation®VR, using either a DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller or the PlayStation®Move motion controllers.
